Although diabetics in Indonesia is predicted to continue to grow, but it seems a healthy lifestyle still not made public.

On the sidelines of Animation Sweet, Head of Engineering Center for Health Promotion of the Ministry of Health, Dra. Herath, MA said, people who are at high risk factors for diabetes is still a lot.

"It should be more public education to improve the knowledge, skills, understanding, and awareness," he said, as in a press statement on Monday (8/24/2015)

Six of the following risk factors, for example, is often overlooked, such as:


1. Smoking

2007-2013 Basic Health Research data shows, smokers under 15 years of age increased from 34,7- 36.3 percent.

2. Physical activity

The same data show that physical activity is diminishing from 48.2 -26.1 percent

3. Less consumption of vegetables and fruit

Lazy to eat fruits and vegetables more than 10 years from 93.6 to 93.5 percent

4. Consumption of alcoholic beverages

5. Obesity

Obesity at age 18 years and above increased from 18,8-26.6 percent

6. Mental emotional disorder

Age over 15 years experience mental disorders emosial of 11,6- 6.0 percent.
